Alides NV was rendered officially and legally operational via notarial deed signed on 30 June 2009. This new company was created from the merger of Bouw en Immobiliën Maes NV (BIM) and Financiële en Immobiliën Promotie NV (FIP), both companies of Groupmaes.

In mid 2006, it was decided to divide the activities of the public limited company R. Maes - Algemene bouwondernemingen NV into different legal entities.

The actual building activities will no longer be carried out under R.Maes NV in future (cf NV Algemene Bouw Maes, NV Afinco and NV Messiaen).

R.Maes NV wishes to project a distinct profile as a property manager and developer in the future.

The joinery activities were brought under a new company, Afinco NV, established by notarial deed on 18 December 2006.

On 1 January 2008, the logistics department was brought under the existing company Messiaen NV.

Ghent Industrial Investment (abbreviated as G2I NV) was founded in 1991 in partnership with another Ghent-based industrial family. The aim of this company is to develop and sell industrial premises.

ACS provides software and services to support construction processes, including CAD software for reinforced concrete (Strakon) and network management for SMEs.

Aalterpaint develops, produces and sells paints and varnishes. Production is geared primarily to the specialised markets of rust-preventing, fire-resistant and industrial paints. The extensive production range includes also lane paints.

Building Hotel Maes (abbreviated as BHM) develops and runs all sorts of hotels.

The aim of these companies is to keep and manage one or more real estate projects in their own portfolio in order to ensure a constant basic return for their financial investors in the long term.

To this end, the non-profit association “Wonen op Poel & Ramen” was created on 26 August 2006 specifically for the building assets of Investpool NV and Investera NV. The object of this association is to run 60 service flats, 88 beds for elderly care and 20 care hotel rooms.
