Alides NV was rendered officially and legally operational via notarial deed signed on 30 June 2009. This new company was created from the merger of Bouw en Immobiliën Maes NV (BIM) and Financiële en Immobiliën Promotie NV (FIP), both companies of Groupmaes.
All the real estate activities of Groupmaes have been grouped under and are coordinated in this new company.
Alides NV develops, builds and manages all sorts of real estate projects. Its vision is based on five pillars in the real estate sectors, namely: Offices, Residential, Industry, Hotel & Care.
In addition, it currently manages a real estate portfolio worth an estimated €300 million, with some 200,000 m² built floor space, all within these five sub-sectors.
Its extensive assets place Alides NV among the top 20 professional real estate investors in Belgium. Its activities cover all Belgian regions and even the North of France down to the gates of Paris.
A recent project of Alides NV is the reconversion of the inland revenue buildings at Ramen en Poel in Ghent into a residential and care centre, consisting of service flats, rest-home rooms and rooms suitable for short stay. Fully operational since 1 April 2009, the residential block Ramen en Poel, is now already the place par excellence in the historical centre of Ghent for the active senior (for more information, cf. www.alides.be and www.ramen-poel.be).
Alides NV is currently working on developing a new four-star hotel across from the South Station and the Fonsnylaan in Brussels. The Cascade Midi Hotel will be inaugurated in January 2010. Alides is responsible for the management of the new hotel in close cooperation with an experienced hotel manager.
