In mid 2006, it was decided to divide the activities of the public limited company R.Maes - Algemene bouwondernemingen NV into different legal entities.

On 1 January 2008, the logistics department was brought under the existing company Messiaen NV.

This department has the task of providing logistical support for all active companies in the Maes Group.
Its remit consists essentially of producing small metal structures, transport, maintenance, handling and trading materials and small equipment, etc.
It also manages an extensive population of equipment for larger contract works and production in the construction sector.

To this end, this department boasts a full-fledged workshop totalling 2000 m² of floor space, and can count on 9 full-time versatile and highly skilled employees.

Since mid 2009, this service has been available also from the external broad construction and real estate market.
Its areas of specialisation include offering logistical support for the entire construction site in the broad sense of the term.

To this end, Messiaen NV holds an international licence for road transport.
