GROUPMAES is a multidisciplinary, prominent group in the construction world and in the development and management of commercial and residential real estate projects.

The Maes Group is composed of some twenty companies.
Its origins lie in a family owned and run business, dating from 1892, embedded in Flanders and historically geared to construction.
The knowledge has been handed down from generation to generation.
The 5th generation is today working hard to perpetuate this tradition in the 21st century.

The focus is on 3 core activities:

• Developing and managing real estate;
• Investing in and managing industrial production companies and service sectors;
• General construction activities.

The shareholders’ equities can be estimated at €300 million.
The group’s real estate activities place it among the country’s top 20.
The capital is still fully 100% in family hands.

The group’s vision is based on a decentralised approach with respect for complementary and constructive partnership in several of its activities.
It is also open for future investments and the expansion of new and sustainable lines of business.

The group employs directly (including joint ventures) some 425 people.

The daily management is based on the sound principles of corporate governance.
In order to manage all activities in a transparent way, the group was organised through an appropriate holding structure.

• European Parliament D1, D2, D3, D4 & D5), Leopold District - Brussels (in a joint venture)
• Shopping Centre Project, Ghent South (in a joint venture)
• Front gate-guest services- outdoor food cart support Building - Disneyland Paris
• NATO - Headquarters - Brussels / Evere – Renovation of main entrance buildings and Headquarters corridors
