Afinco nv & Genisol nv

A cooperation agreement was signed on 26 November by and between Afinco NV (the Maes Group) and Genisol NV.

This cooperation consists of a fully integrated joint venture with a perfect 50/50 cross-shareholding between the two companies.

The new cooperation will become operational as of 1 January 2008.

Mr François Goubau has been appointed managing director and will assume the daily business management for both companies.

Mr Marcel Rosiers will assume the daily business management at Afinco NV.

This new joint venture offers 3 professional activities for the construction market: total finishing (Genisol Projects), innovative renovation and restoration (Domus Arte) and interior and exterior joinery (Afinco).

Thanks to this cooperation and the actual and added value created from the complementary nature of the two companies, Genisol and Afinco will in future be able to coordinate and carry out total completion projects even better and more efficiently, which can only benefit customers.

Furthermore, thanks to a central organisation, this new cooperation will give all workers an opportunity to bring their winning assets as specialised skilled workers to bear in exciting and challenging projects.

Both Genisol NV and Afinco NV will remain in the current premises, a stone’s throw away from each other in Ghent.
