Open Construction Day- Sunday, 27 April 2008
 On Sunday, 27 April 2008 the Maes Group opened 3 of its work sites to the public for the
2nd Open Construction Site Day organised by the National Confederation of the Construction Industry.

The Confederation of the Construction Industry wants to capitalise on the Open Construction Site Day to improve the image of construction and to draw attention to the enormous employment opportunities that the sector has to offer.
Several building trades were demonstrated in detail at our construction site, located at the corner of Poel and Ramen at Ghent. This construction site comprises the entire reconversion of 2 old administrative buildings into modern, contemporary service flats and a care hotel for the needy.
 The entire architectonic concrete production process can be followed from A to Z in our industrial workhouses, established at the site of our registered office at 1 Toemaattragel, 9000 Ghent (Arbeco NV).
Similarly the production of wooden external joinery can be viewed at the same location (Afinco NV).
in particular how a window frame ready to be used is made from raw wood.
